Okay. I have a problem. And apparently I am not the only one that does. Other guys need to know as well. What does a guy that didn't know a stamp from a punch until a few months ago get his Cute Girl for Christmas/Hanukkah/Festivus/WinterSolstice? I seriously need help.
If I try to make something I am going to set myself up for failure with Cute Girl. I googled crafts for guys and found out how to make a duct tape wallet or a tuxedo out of that glorious silver band of sticky fiber that typically can make any home improvement problem go away. I am scared, and embarrassed, to admit that I found sites that show you how to knit a condom or a make a gun cozy.
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot? I wish I was making this stuff up. In my journeys with Cute Girl, I have seen the word crafttastic used. However, gun cozies and knitted condoms are simply craptastic. So anyway, making something is probably out of the question unless someone out there has a foolproof favorite project that will help me (and I would feature you and the project and a whole bunch of other cool stuff). I would be particularly appreciative if someone could recommend a project that would require me to buy a Dremel. I have been itching for one and haven't found an excuse to get it. Yet.
If I try to buy something for scrapbooking, she probably already has it or doesn't need it. Her art studio is totally filled with stuff that I have no clue what it is or what she needs. What are the cool new products? Are there things I need to look out for? You know, are there "Chia-pet" gifts in the scrapbooking world? Things they suck us guys into buying and then on the big morning you think your stocking was filled with coal?
Finally, should I just pay for a trip to the coast and reap the self-serving rewards of separating her from her art studio for a couple three days? For me, this is probably the best option. But it may or may not endear me enough for her to tolerate me long term.
HELP ME PLEASE!?!? I am open to all suggestions. The bottom line is Cute Girl is one of those genuinely nice and nicely genuine people, so I can't do anything wrong with the gift. But I can try to make it special for her. And I am counting on you to help me.
